Go With The Grain That Best Suits Your Blood Type
Careful which grains you eat
When it comes to blood types, eating against the grain is the major cause of: obesity, thyroid disruption, weakened immunity, allergies and skin rashes, headaches, cancer, irritable bowel syndrome, gas, bloating, constipation, general sluggishness, depression, fatigue, syndrome X, high cholesterol, heart problems and blood sugar imbalances like diabetes.
It’s like wearing a pair of shoes that don’t fit you. Being too lazy to find a decent pair, you wear them every day and complain of sore, tired feet! Then you buy a whole lot of shoes because they look good on your friends, but still your feet ache. It’s no good wearing Cinderella shoes if you need to hike across the Himalayas, is it? It would make no sense to cut your feet down to size either! So it is with eating foods that are not compatible with your blood type.
There are four major blood types and the foods that are beneficial to each one of them are amazingly different, especially when it comes to eating grains and starches.
Sadly most of us don’t know our blood type. It’s like saying you don’t know what your shoe size is, so everyone wears an average sized shoe that fits less than 10% of the population. This is what is happening to people who eat against the grain. They all think they can eat large quantities of bread, mealies (corn), lentils, beans, potatoes, pasta, soya products and snack foods made from: wheat, mealies (corn) and potatoes every day. Wrong!
If people took the trouble to find out what foods suited them best they would not have to spend so much time, money and effort on what we call common ailments, would they? I call them eating disorders and for blood type enthusiasts like me, my way of eating is a lot easier than putting up with the aftermath of disagreeable food. But most people are like sheep. They will keep on eating the way they do because it is what everybody else does. Well, everybody else gets sick, tired, stressed, depressed and miserable and this seems to be more comfortable than waking up to healthy eating for your blood type.
Most people say they do not believe in blood type diets. So-called nutritional experts slate Peter D’Adamo’s: “Eat Right for your Type Diet”, saying that the whole idea is unscientific. Sadly, the people who resist the blood type system are the ones who need it most. The doctors who discourage their patients from eating according to their blood types are really making fools of themselves.
One only has to visit; www.dadamo.com to see how people on blood type diets can recover from lifetime illnesses, allergies and obesity-related ailments without drugs and surgical intervention. This is not hype, its common sense. No other diet system takes your unique constitution into consideration.
Some “experts” on nutrition say that eating what suits you best (blood type diets) would cause chaos at the dinner table. But, eating food that your body can’t handle causes chaos in your constitution. What a lazy, stupid cop-out for not being able to give personalised advice to a patient. There is no point in telling an obese blood type B to eat skinless chicken breasts every day to lose weight. It won’t work, because this blood type reacts very badly to chicken. If you cut out all the chicken, B’s lose weight effortlessly!
What about a vegetarian blood type O non-secretor who eats mainly soya and wheat products? I know a few of these people and they have either one or all of the following: damaged thyroid glands, weakened immunity, syndrome X and sadly, breast cancer. When blood type A’s embark on an Atkins diet and eat a lot of beef what happens? They feel sluggish, get eczema, psoriasis and heart problems because they are best suited to eating grains! When blood type O eats a lot of bread, pasta and potatoes, bang goes the thyroid! So you see, people who eat a little of everything in moderation have a lot of ailments in moderation.
Almost on a daily basis, I hear tales of woe from victims of “highly qualified” health professionals who are basically suffering from what I call eating disorders. The longer they eat against their natural food choices, the longer they have to take medicines or need surgical intervention. The sad thing is that even if cancerous tumours are removed, they will grow back in direct proportion to the error of the eating habits.
It’s like the shoes: find a pair that fits you and you will not have bunions, and sore feet. But first you have to know what suits you best, regardless of the fashionable trends that everybody else follows. In terms of society, it is easier to go with the lazy flow of eating what is freely available in restaurants and fast food outlets or even vegetarian eating establishments, but is it really the food that suits you best?
Here are a few guidelines to popular foods and the blood types that are best suited to them. It will help to explain why over 40% of South Africans are now classified as obese. The amount of people currently suffering from diabetes and heart problems is increasing in direct proportion to the consumption of not only junk foods, but also foods that interfere with their immune systems and general metabolism.
DO THESE FOODS REALLY SUIT THE WHOLE FAMILY?
(Type 1 refers to a secretor, 2 to a non-secretor.) Yellow pea, millet and rice products suit all blood types.
Lentil flour suits: A1, A2, AB1, AB2 and O2.
Barley suits all blood types except O2. O2 can substitute barley flour with oat bran, but even oats do not suit them.
Wheat only suits A1, AB1 and some of the AB2 groups -so most of us should seriously avoid all forms of wheat.
Chick pea flour only suits O1. Soya beans do not suit: O2 and B2. In fact, this is the largest cause of breast cancer and thyroid malfunction in O2 and B2 females as they are very sensitive to the lectins in soya and the soya-based estrogens.
Maize products only suit A1. No wonder so many people have weak immune systems!
