What is the cause of morning sickness. What is a safe remedy?
Q ) Hi Sue I was wondering; what causes morning sickness, and is there anything I can do to get rid of morning sickness (that won’t be harmful to my baby). Thank you!
A ) The demand on your body causes the liver to break down your reserve store of nutrients. This releases oily substances known as ketones into the blood and hence the nausea. A greasy, oily feeling. It is actually a hunger symptom, requiring food although one feels like hurling.
There are a number of safe, workable options:
1 Eat something salty. Savoury foods go down well and best are salty chips or crackers, biltong or Marmite toast.
2 Eat something sour or fruity. Green apples are good and provide folic acid. One lady vomited constantly for weeks on end and my recommendation of eating a lot of pineapple and pawpaw really helped her with queasiness. These fruits contain a lot of digestive enzymes, and a good dose of much needed sugar, vitamins and other nutrients.
3 The homeopathic remedy COCULUS and similar ones often work, according to the individual’s symptoms. You can ask a homeopath or enquire at a health shop for advice.
4 The tissue salts: NAT SULPH and NAT PHOS also help with nausea and liverishness, especially if your tongue has creamy yellow deposits on it.
5 Ginger tea with honey. Some people add lemon juice.
6 Just be thankful that you are pregnant, and very soon it will all be over and you will be swelling with pride and happiness!
Question regarding item ‘NF 031 HORMONE BALANCING SUPPLEMENTS:AGNUS CASTUS: 50ml
Q1 ) Good day. My Homeopath put me on the Agnus Castus Hormone Regulater, I’ve been on it only 4 days know, I would like to know, my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 2 years know, will this product help? I know I have hormonal problems, I was just wondering, will this product do the job, is this all I need or can you precribe something else I can take with it?
A1) Many ladies have conceived with chasteberry over the years. We have also had red clover, black cohosh and sweet potato babies! There is no one off magic potion because one has to get to the cause. I hope the attached information helps you. For more information you can type words into the search box on our website. It is a common topic with Q & A. Regards, Sue Visser www.naturefresh.co.za
Q ) After writing my email to you on the 21st of December I found out on 23th that I was pregnant, but it was not sustained unfortunatley. Currently I think I might be pregnant again as I have all the same simptoms as last month, but it is still too early to test. When I found out I was pregnant I stopped drinking the Chasteberry and 3 days later I miscarried. Should I have kept on drinking it to keep my hormones in tacked? So my question to you is, is it save to drink the Chasteberry if I might be pregnant (since it has a high alcohol content). I stopped drinking it again and I’m really fearfull as I’m not sure if that was the reason I miscarried in the first place? I will appreciate your input.
A ) We do not want to take any chances as the launching process is delicate. Chasteberry, as well as our Sweet potato tincture help to raise progesterone levels. As you know, this hormone is critical to maintain the foetus. The alcohol is easily dispersed by soaking the dose in a little warm water. Do this each day to prepare the next dose well in advance once you take it.
However, keep doing whatever you can to stay pregnant and so don’t stop. As soon as you can, make sure your progesterone is strictly monitored by your practitioner. Too many times, have I seen the problem at this stage. Fortunately, a lady who did this (and still took chasteberry) had a successful pregnancy. Often with females on contraceptives based on progesterone who stop, are then unable to generate their own hormones successfully. Sufficient folic acid, multivitamins and amino acids, eg: staminogro are recommended by some doctors in preparation.
Response Thanks I will start taking it again immediatley, hope its not too late. Thanks for all your help. Will keep you updated!
Semen enhancers
Q ) Sue, as you know, I did have an erection problem some time ago. I now take a product that comes from “Herbal way” in Valyland. which is brilliantly effective. However a problem I now have is that I produce very little to nil semen with the result that I really battle to reach a climax. This has the affect not only of frustration for me, but also my partner feels she is not good enough to satisfy me.
I have researched the problem on the internet and find that there are some “Semen Enhancers” available, but only from the States which makes them extreamly expensive.
The components of the product that scores the highest rating are as follows. Pehaps with your contacts, you could source these and work out some proportions for me. I am more than willing to pay for same and for your time.
Lingzhi
Fucus Vesiculosus
4,5,7-Trihydroxyflavone
San guo mu
Embelica officinalis (Extract)
Hong hua fen
Xi lan rou gui
Dong chong xia cao (Extract)
Ku gua
Maltodextrin
A) Evidently good semen enhancers are: staminogro and Vascamen. Both are available at Dischem. These are highly recommended for couples who wish to conceive and are good. Also up the vitamin C and zinc, but you know all that.
Good alternatives to Viagra –and why not) are Phytoandro that costs about R40 a pop.
Try not to get too hung up on pleasing the lady. Ladies generally love to be cuddled and appreciated above being humped. They do not judge the prowess of the stallion and do not need an orgasm to be the ultimate goal. Neither should you. So relax and enjoy making love however it is expressed.
Uterine fibroids when 3 months pregnant – caesarean?
Q ) Is it possible for you to advise me with regards to dealing with uterine fibroids?
I am three months’ pregnant and at my last check-up on Saturday, the doctor told me I have a fibroid inside my uterus which could affect the development of the baby. He also said it could mean that I cannot give natural vaginal birth but would have to have a caesarean birth.
Is there any way I can work away the fibroid through supplements or diet change or anything else that you would know of?
I have already begun to cut out chicken and red meat from my diet. I am trying to eat lots of veggies and fruit. Someone also advised me to drink fresh carrot juice with apple and celery, which I have begun doing. Is there any other advice you might have? It would be so much appreciated.
A ) Fibroids develop when there is a progesterone deficiency. Please ask the doctor to strictly monitor your levels. Tell him you are compensating with these suggestions but I do not want to be held responsible for contradicting your practitioner.

All the best with your pregnancy and there is no reason why you should not be able to deliver a healthy baby the way God intended it. Love, Sue
Q2 ) Dear Sue Thank You so much for your reply. I will definitely heed your advice. I’m a bit confused on the Chaste Berry tincture as my research into it has found that it is not safe to take during pregnancy, ie. the Agnus Castus specifically is not safe for pregnant women. Can you please advise me on that? Thank You very much
A 2) Most herbal products are said to be not safe during pregnancy – even parsley! One is obliged to give plenty of warning because you never know. I just want to share with you a few cases where ladies have conceived on chasteberry and then stopped taking it. The pregnancy terminated. My point being that chasteberry is a progesterone enhancer and every day you are pregnant you need increased amounts of progesterone. Most doctors will supplement with drugs or natural progesterone boosters or nature-identical hormones and control it accordingly.
I don’t think in your case that chasteberry is the best option. Please consult with a doctor who can test your progesterone and keep it at the correct level. Even a pathologist is able to do a simple test. I do not want to be held responsible and am not prepared to do any more guess work. If I can be of assistance in other ways, you can contact me again. I wish you a healthy, happy baby! Lots of love, Sue Visser
Immediate response: Thank You, Sue. Your advice is much appreciated.
