Healthy Dental Habits

Q ) I grew up being treated homoeopathically as my gran was a nurse. I vividly remember her giving us arnica and hypericum together for hurts etc. I have had a few teeth pulled and keep getting terrible infections. I am taking arnica but it’s just not working and I can’t find any hypericum.

Any suggestions please I am desperate and cannot keep taking time off work to go to the dentist to have the socket hole cleaned and start the healing process all over again only to get another infection a few days later.

A ) There are some great Homeopathic remedies for dental problems. Tissue salts are also useful and may be easier to find.

Mercurius solubidis – for detox after you have removed teeth full of mercury

Phytocacca also helps for nerve pain. Also try Ferrum Phos – a tissue salt similar in action to hypericum (St John’s Wort).

Diatomaceous earth and xylitol – keep them and share them for tooth disasters!

The first thing to do with pain and infection, I find personally is to use a mixture of 1:1 diatomaceous earth and xylitol. Xylitol kills bacteria that causes tooth decay. Pack a few large pinches of the powder around the problem area. Hold it in your mouth, suck it sometimes and also go to sleep with it. In some cases, doing this a few times a day helps to draw out the infection and ease the pain. Stay away from fluoride – it can cause pain and it damages gum tissue. Ask at a health shop. They may have zeolite (similar but grey in colour).

Teeth and Gums:

By hardening the enamel, silica prevents cavities and preserves teeth. Silica also prevents bleeding gums, gum atrophy, and recession that causes the loosening of teeth, which could ultimately lead to tooth loss. Silica effectively fights ulceration and the decay of bones, teeth and also lessens inflammation.

* Silica can harden your tooth enamel. Brush your teeth with it, dip your tooth brush with tooth paste on it in the DE powder and brush on your teeth.

*Diatomaceous earth has a negative charge and bacteria has a positive charge. It is believed that diatomaceous earth sweeps bacteria out of the body by trapping it in its honeycomb shaped skeletal form.
