1) No More Cysts! (Inspiring Story)
I have now been TTC for 15 months. I was diagnosed with PCOS about six months ago.
My doctor could not find any physical problems with my fertility other than cysts on my ovaries and irregular periods. While doing some research I read about gluten and its effect on fertility. Bread and noodles were the basis of almost all my meals. I decided there was no use getting tested for gluten sensitivity, since the end result would be avoiding gluten anyway. Plus, I was bound and determined to become pregnant on my own. So I started a gluten-free diet. The first few days were a nightmare, I went through major withdraw symptoms (i.e., headache, nausea, tired, depressed). After the withdrawal symptoms wore off, I felt better than I had in years. After a month on the diet, I went back to my doctor for an ultrasound checkup and to my (and my doctor’s) surprise, my cysts were completely gone!!!
Before the diet, I would start spotting halfway through my luteal phase and continue thru to my period.
After the diet, you guessed it, the spotting became shorter and more normal each cycle. During the first two months on the diet, I was able to slowly reduce my anti-depressant medication from 100mg to 25mg. I am now on month five of my diet and last month was the first time I ovulated when I was supposed to, on my own and without the help of fertility drugs! I have not become pregnant yet, that I know of, but I feel more positive and hopeful than ever before.
If you would have asked me a year ago to give up my bread, I would have laughed in your face! It is funny how the desire for a child makes you strong enough to conquer anything! If I can do it, YOU CAN DO IT!

Editor’s note: This story perfectly illustrates why the diet in “The Natural Diet Solution for PCOS and Infertility” e-book is 100% gluten-free. This diet is designed to help you control PCOS and increase your ability to conceive, if that’s what you want to do. I admit the diet is not easy. But given your PCOS genetic tendencies, a diet like this one can produce good results. Take a look at this diet. You have nothing to lose and you may gain something important.

2) Vitamin D and Thyroid Health
A significant percentage of women with PCOS have thyroid trouble, especially hypothyroidism or low thyroid function. They are more likely than other women to have disturbed thyroid function. One of the most common thyroid diseases is thyroiditis, or inflammation of the thyroid. Poor thyroid function or thyroiditis can cause low energy, lethargy, depression, weight gain, hair problems and infertility. When you received a diagnosis of PCOS from your doctor, did he or she investigate your thyroid function? Possibly not! Whether you have thyroid problems or not, there is a vitamin that might help you. It is vitamin D.
Several recent medical studies have shown an association between thyroid inflammation (thyroiditis) and vitamin D insufficiency. For example, the Zabludovicz Center for Autoimmune Diseases in Israel has found that 72% of people with thyroiditis have a vitamin D deficiency, which is more than twice the incidence of deficiency found in people with normal thyroid glands. We’ve previously reported that as many as 72% of women with PCOS may have a vitamin deficiency. We also recently reported that vitamin D supplementation helps to normalize monthly cycles in women who have PCOS. We have a large number of medical studies on file that suggest you would benefit from some vitamin D supplementation.
As you can see, Vitamin D is a very important nutrient for dealing with PCOS. That’s why there is such a liberal amount of vitamin D in the d-pinitol formula:

3) 6 Ways to Lighten Up!
Having PCOS can really be a drag. But you can’t let it drag you down. Remember when you were a child? You did things for the sheer joy of it. You didn’t care about what others thought. You did things simply to have fun.Thinkabout reclaiming that childhood exuberance and joy of living in the present moment. Can you lighten up a little?
Life is what you focus on and that focus will determine your enjoyment of daily reality. Your emotions are created by your thoughts. To stop taking yourself so seriously, it’s important to create an internal environment that supports you. To deal with the stress of PCOS and life, it’s important to be able to laugh at yourself. Let’s face it, there will be a lot of things you can’t change and the better your sense of humor, the better you’re going to feel about you and your life. Humor keeps us sane and gives us a sense of balance. Give yourself a break and try out these ideas for brightening up your perspective on your life.
1. Even if you don’t consider yourself a good joke teller, tell a joke every day for the next 21 days. (It can be the same joke told to 21 different people.)
2. At least once a month, go with friends to the local comedy club or an entertaining play. One of the reasons why an entertaining night of comedy leaves you feelings so good, is that it helps you forget all your troubles for a short time and just laugh. Laughter enables you to gain a new perspective on your problems. Exposing yourself to humor can often help you realize others have the same problems and you’re not the only one.
3. Watch funny TV shows or go to funny movies. Life is serious enough without compounding it by watching drama, soaps and the news.
4. When you read your local newspaper, turn to the funnies first. This helps you not to take the negative news so seriously.
5. Associate yourself with people who are have a sense of humor, are optimistic, and enjoy life.
6. Pretend you’re a writer for the Tonight Show.
Look around you for humor everywhere. It’s there
if you will look for it.
